Cannondale Launches the new SYNAPSE NEO

Based on Cannondale’s Synapse endurance race bike, the all-new Synapse NEO is a stealthy low profile Bosch powered electric bike with a 400Wh battery, and a performance carbon frame that delivers precision handling and power while maintaining an incredibly smooth ride.

Experience your favorite routes as never before – and take on ones you never thought possible. A Powerful Bosch drive system, precision components, confident handling, and an ultra-smooth-riding carbon frameset come together to melt miles and reel in horizons.

Key Benefits

High Performance. Low Profile.

Synapse NEO looks just like it rides: smooth. The quiet Bosch Performance Line Sxz drive unit (Class III, 28mph Performance Line Sprint for the US) is neatly integrated into the carbon frame, and premium componentry like the Conceal Stem, HollowGram carbon wheels, and electronic shifting keeps things clean, quick, and rideable.

Easy Rider.

The light but mighty Bosch SX drive unit provides support up to higher cadences for a natural pedaling feel. Powered by a 400Wh battery, it brings a powerful boost up to 25km/h (SX Sprint – 28mph), then seamlessly disengages for effortless pedaling at greater speeds.

The Real Deal.

True road bike performance comes standard here. Based on the comfortable endurance geometry of our pro-level Synapse, Synapse NEO provides the same precise handling, confident control, and incredibly smooth ride as that award-winning machine.

Masterful Material

Based on the non-electric Synapse endurance race bike and rendered in the refined Series 2 carbon fiber construction, the Synapse NEO frameset achieves low weight and superlative performance.

Effortless Interface

The Bosch Kiox 500 display on the handlebar is easy to read and use, giving you full control over the drive system, and can even work in conjunction with the Bosch Flow app for more convenience.

Ready to Roam

When you don’t want the ride to need, it doesn’t have to. An optional secondary battery can be installed in minutes and adds 250Wh. That means going farther and pushing higher, while still getting home easily.

Versatility Built In

Synapse NEO comes with mounts for fenders, a kickstand, and a rear rack, making it easy to set the bike up for poor weather and greater utility.

Fits Like a Glove

The Proportional Response approach means that every Synapse NEO is engineered for consistent performance across the size range. From the biggest to the smallest, every rider gets the same ride quality, handling, and responsiveness.

We’re glad to see it’s back

After a brief hiatus, the Synapse NEO is welcomed back to the Cannondale line-up. By no means is this the same bike. Not only has electric bike technology made strides over the last few years, but the integration of drivetrain systems and new drivetrains as a whole, are all very welcomed to this new Synapse NEO.

Starting at $8500 the Synapse NEO leaves little room to upgrade to finer componentry. Out the door, the Synapse NEO will bring riders to new horizons otherwise thought to be out of reach. While many Cannondale enthusiasts will find themselves craving the traditional Synapse for their endurance journeys, the Synapse NEO is exactly what many riders have been hoping.

With the addition of the SmartSense system, the Synapse NEO will be an all-day riding machine.
