PEDALS
Race Face Chester
The metal pins grip your shoe and don’t slip like the plastic ones. It has a wider footprint giving you more of a surface area for your foot to land on. When pedaling you can feel the smoothness of the pedal as it spins around the axle.
MSRP: $59.99
BIKE LOCK
ABUS Bordo 6000
Ok, we know it’s more than $100, but can you really put a price tag on bike security? The versatility of a chain lock, but security of a u-lock. We were able to lock up two electric bikes together no problem with the Bordo 6000 Folding Bike Lock. I would feel comfortable locking a bike up with this lock outside for the day.
It is well worth the price tag to keep your bike secure.
MSRP: $130
FLOOR PUMP
Lezyne Steel Floor Drive
Hands down the most used tool in the garage, pun intended. I have been using the same Lezyne floor pump for over a decade. This pump has a classic mechanical gauge and a wood handle. It’s well constructed, rebuildable, and a great looking tool in the garage.
MSRP: $69.99
MULTI TOOLS
OneUp Components EDC Multitool
The smallest Multitool we use, but it still packs a punch with 9 integrated tools. Better yet, OneUp makes a holder that goes into the fork steerer tube to keep this tool on the bike. I never ride any bike without a tool and this one is so compact that I don’t even notice it in my pocket.
MSRP: $37.50
Lezyne
Lezyne is a great manufacturer of all things bike tools and accessories. They have a multitude of multitools that accommodate all riders without breaking the bank. The Super V tool is one of my personal favorites of theres, slightly more tools then most and it includes a chain breaker, which when riding e bikes is a handy item to have around with all that torque.
CHAIN LUBE
Maxima Chain Guard
The simplest and I’d go as far as saying, the most essential addition to any bike is chain lube. Maxima makes some of the finest products and chain lubes for both wet and dry conditions allowing you to keep your chain healthy year round.
MSRP: $9.99
Finish Line DRY
Another of our favorite chain lubes is from Finish Line, the dryness of this lube is great keeping chains from gunking up with grime.
MSRP: $4.99 +
